Fine Tune Your Copyediting Skills
On August 11, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Hillsides Children's Resource Center, 940 Avenue 64, Pasadena, plan to attend a seminar entitled "Copyediting for Profit: The Marketplace for Your Editing Skills."
Panelists will discuss the differences between copyediting, proofreading, and line editing, as well as pay rates, and where the jobs are. There will also be a discussion about reference books, dictionaries, and style guides, along with current language trends.
The fee is $15 for National Writers Union members and $35 for nonmembers.
