I can tell you this. The encouragement and support I have received in just these two short months has more than paid for the membership. We are going to have a strong chapter here in Austin, TX. I would encourage members everywhere to form a chapter. E-mail is great but nothing beats face to face conversation. Again, thank you. Tweed
Dear Patty, I greatly appreciate
my SPAWN membership and all
that you and others do to keep
SPAWN going. I learn from and
am stimulated by SPAWN's
newsletter and email messages and responses.
I continue to work as an arts
consultant, writer and publicist
for arts organizations,
foundations and galleries and
artists, including for the Happy
Valley Cultural Center and Zolle
Theater in Ojai.
All best,
Andora
And before I forget, thanks for
all the great info that you put out
every month....I truly enjoy it
and find it all both informative and motivating...
Best Regards,
Patrick

NOTICE: Special Member Bonus Now Choose a free book!
When you join or renew your membership this year, you can choose to receive: - one of Patricia Fry's best books The Successful Writer's Handbook or
Patricia Fry's successful How to Write a Successful Book Proposal in 8 Days or Less
or
Ask The Book Doctor: How to Beat the Competition and Sell Your Writing by Bobbie Christmas
or The Author's Repair Kit, a 27-page ebook featuring the after-publication book proposal. Are your book sales disappointing? This ebook will help you to heal your publishing mistakes and breathe new life into your book.
by Patricia Fry
(Due to high shipping costs to non-US locations, new members outside the US will receive the e-book version of The Successful Writer's Handbook unless they choose to pay shipping.)
The Successful Writer's Handbook is a collection of Patricia Fry's best writing-related articles. Herein, you'll learn how to crush writer's block, where to find writing work even during an economic downturn and how to manage the business of writing.
You'll discover hundreds of techniques to help you break into magazine writing, self-publish your book and market yourself and your work. This book also includes research resources and techniques for writers, ideas for designing a writer's Web site, tips for planning a more successful book signing and an easy-to-follow time-line for self-publishing.
Do you tend to procrastinate? Are you afraid to speak in public? Do you sometimes border on burnout? Fry also addresses these issues for the working writer.
She has included articles on networking as a tool for authors, interview techniques for writers and even how to pose for your publicity photo.
While this book is jam-packed with practical tools, creative ideas and useful techniques, the last chapter is a journey of self. You'll be invited to enter a writer's garden. You'll learn how to use your journal for therapy and inspiration. And you'll discover how to create greater balance in your life.
This book is recommended for writers at any stage of their passion. You'll probably be inspired to read it from cover to cover. But also keep it handy as a reference guide. If you're new to writing, certain articles may resonate with you now while others will draw you in later. However, you decide to use this book, relish it with the author's blessings, for she has charted the course on which you are now embarking.
Ask The Book Doctor: How to Beat the Competition and Sell Your Writing is a compilation of information from "Ask the Book Doctor" columns by Bobbie Christmas, a book editor with more than thirty years of experience.
Asked and answered are questions regarding Chicago Style, finding and dealing with agents, self publishing, creative writing, business writing, word processing, grammar, format, plot, point of view, critique circles, and much more.
