HOW TO WRITE A SUCCESSFUL BOOK PROPOSAL IN 8 DAYS OR LESS by Patricia Fry I proved it again, folks. I wrote a book proposal for my newest book idea (yes, it has to do with writing) and I did it in the equivalent of 5 ½ full 8-hour days. If you are contemplating writing a book or are in the process of writing a book and you haven’t purchased our new ebook, "How to Write a Successful Book Proposal in 8 Days or Less," you really must do it. This 32-page booklet was developed from an 8-week book proposal course I taught over the summer. One student just landed a contract with a major publisher for her first book. In fact, the editor told her that it was the detailed, professional book proposal that convinced them to acquire her book. This particular student actually changed the focus of her book during the process of preparing her book proposal. If she had gone blindly forward pitching her former idea, she might still be searching for a publisher in 2010. But the process of the book proposal convinced her to shift the slant of her book, putting it more in alignment with the reality of industry standards and needs. What is success to you? If all you want is to become a published author, do it your way. If you also wish to experience some level of success in this industry, you will need to write a book proposal.
