Fry, Bee Lead Young Writers

Twelve local home school students will have a self-published book of their own poetry, short stories and nonfiction as a result of a writing and publishing workshop sponsored by Small Publishers, Artists, and Writers Network. Local author and SPAWN President, Patricia Fry, mentored these children through an eight-week course that inspired and motivated students to write, share and submit their work for publication. SPAWN member Polly Bee joined a couple of the sessions, sharing her expertise in poetry and collaborating with the students.

Dennis Mullican, an associate of Fry's, incorporating the students' very definite ideas, did the layout and design work.

Once the printed copies of Tuesday Afternoons arrive, the workshop participants and their friends and families will celebrate with a book signing party at the Ojai Library Bookstore and Secret Garden.

SPAWN Authors will soon have their book published.
