Writer’s Digest Popular Fiction Awards Deadline: November 2, 2010. The Grand Prize Winner will receive a trip to the Writer’s Digest Conference in New York City, $2,500 cash, $100 worth of Writer’s Digest Books and the 2011 Novel & Short Story Writer’s Market.

Winners of the Book of the Year Awards will be revealed at the American Library Association conference and written up in ForeWord Reviews. Also, award finalists will be featured on the Web site, in the weekly e-newsletter, and on the Facebook page.

Nominations for the 23rd annual Minnesota Book Awards are open through Friday, December 10, 2010. To be eligible, a book must be written by a Minnesota resident, published this calendar year, and fit within one of eight book categories.

The awards for the 2010 DIY Book Festival will be held February 25, 2011, as part of the tenth annual DIY Convention: Do It Yourself in Film, Music & Books. The competition honors independent book authors and publishers.
