About SPAWNThe purpose of Small Publishers, Artists and Writers Network (SPAWN) is to provide opportunities, information and resources for authors, illustrators, graphic designers, photographers, editors, self-publishers, and others involved in the process of publishing. SPAWN also gives these creative professionals the opportunity to exchange ideas and information with each other and the general public. SPAWN Mission StatementTo provide education, information, resources and a supportive networking environment for creative individuals and small business owners interested in the publishing process. SPAWN HistorySPAWN was formed to promote an interest in art and literature, to encourage creative expression and to help those interested in the arts connect with others for educational purposes and mutual support. SPAWN is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our Board of Directors is listed on this page. SPAWN membership dues are $65 per year. Spouses, partners and employees of members with the same mailing address may join for half of the fee. Members receive the monthly SPAWNews newsletter, as well as access to the meaty, monthly SPAWN Market Update, a free listing in the Member Directory, discounts on seminars and workshops, as well as the opportunity to list their works in the SPAWN Catalog of Member Books and Services and to join SPAWN in book festivals throughout the year.
